Continuing Education

Building on the success of our full-time programs, IYRS has teamed up with leaders in the marine industry and experienced instructors to provide time-efficient continuing education courses in modern marine and restoration craftsmanship. The curriculum is designed for maritime service professionals, boat yard employees and marine enthusiasts. 

The IYRS course offerings include comprehensive courses in marine systems, metalworking, woodworking, and marine applications. Each course is hands on. Students learn by doing and when a course is completed, a IYRS Certificate is awarded attesting to the student’s proficiency.  Click here for our Summer 2008 courses.

Terms and Conditions

Upon receiving full payment, IYRS will send you a receipt that will serve as confirmation of registration.  There is a $25 processing fee if you withdraw any time up to 7 days prior to the course.  After that, we cannot refund any money.  IYRS reserves the right to cancel a course at any time due to lack of enrollment or unforeseen circumstances and give a full refund.  IYRS full-time students, alumni and staff are entitled to a 20% discount on most classes.  A 10% discount is available to IYRS members at the Dual/Associate membership ($100) or above.
