And last but not least, let's take a look at the GarWood's progress.

The bottom has been double planked, and now it's time to do the topsides.  Like all of the other boats, the planks are shaped one at a time to line up along the longitudinal battens.

The students attach the planks with bronze screws and 3M's 5200.

The 5200 is adhesive as well as flexible, so it acts like a glue and a permanently flexible seal at the same time.  It's tough to remove once it dries, so it's best to clean it off the wet squeeze out as soon as possible.

Woodworker's axiom:  You can never have too many clamps.

A few more planks on now.  The bungs are visible on the lower planks.

Like the Chris Craft, the transom is not put on until later.  At this stage of the game, it's all about putting in your time with the planking.

Oh yeah, and putting in bungs.

Lots and lots of bungs.

And so it goes, shape a plank, install a plank, bung a plank.
