Student Services

Student Services at IYRS are designed to guide students from the first time they inquire about our programs, through their time of study at IYRS, and into their next chapter as graduates and alumni.

Because IYRS students come from around the globe and from all walks of life, there is no one-size-fits-all approach to what each student needs during his or her time at the school. Our students benefit from one-on-one support during the admissions process, during their time at IYRS as they sort through their options for financial aid and scholarships and housing, and as they formulate their educational goals and work with our staff to parlay those goals into meaningful careers.

Our Director of Student and Industry Relations is the key link between our students, the school, and the industries our programs serve. He works with students as they define their career goals, network with alumni and industry partners, and secure internships and jobs. IYRS also hosts an annual Career Day each spring, which draws employers from throughout the New England region who travel to IYRS to meet with skilled individuals interested in working at their boatyards and companies.
