Gift & Estate Planning
IYRS is pleased to present a four-part series on planned giving. We’d like to thank The Hilton Group at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney for the series and for their generous sponsorship of the 2010 & 2011 Restoration Society events.
With a little planning, you can make a gift to IYRS that will support both your personal and your philanthropic objectives. There are many ways that making charitable gifts now or after your lifetime that can bring immediate or future financial benefits to you and your family. In some cases your tax advisor or estate attorney can help you with these decisions and suitable strategies. Alternatively, we can refer you to a team of experts that assist IYRS donors to develop a customized plan to optimize your charitable wishes—being mindful of issues such as protecting your wealth and income, minimizing your taxes, fulfilling your succession planning, and reducing your risk of unforeseen liabilities.
Ways To Give
While the most common planned gift is a bequest in your will or living trust, other planned giving strategies can include the following:
- Charitable gift annuity
- Charitable remainder trust
- Charitable lead trust
- Life insurance policies
Supporters who have included IYRS in their estate plans are recognized in the school’s Azimuth Society. For more information, please contact Terry Nathan, President at tnathan@iyrs.org or at (401)848-5777, ext 211.
